Four Central European nations — Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia — collectively backed India's long-running campaign for a permanent UN Security Council seat at the first V4-India ministerial meeting, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar said India, as an upcoming Indo-Pacific superpower, must be at the table. The ministers agreed to annual foreign ministers' meetings and a business forum.
