An ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition study published in BMC Public Health found that visually appealing presentation can make healthy foods more desirable to adolescents. Researchers showed 150 food images to 203 adolescents aged 13-19 on Instagram over 15 days. Attractively presented millet porridge and chana salad drew greater willingness to eat than plain versions, while added nutritional text made little difference.
