Houthis Push Into Yemen's Kahboub Mountains Near Bab al-Mandeb

Houthi forces are advancing into Yemen's Kahboub Mountains after seizing much of the Red Sea coast this month, ending calm that had largely held since 2022. Experts say controlling the highlands overlooking Bab al-Mandeb would shield Houthi coastal gains and pressure government-held Lahj and Aden. Britain will support Saudi Arabia with defensive refuelling.
