Morocco's PAM Wins Most Seats in Parliamentary Vote

Morocco's monarchy-aligned Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) won 97 of 395 parliamentary seats in provisional results, Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit said. Turnout fell to 38.02 percent from 50 percent in 2021. Under the constitution, King Mohammed VI appoints the prime minister from the largest party, putting PAM in line to lead a coalition government.
