Banks to Open Sunday Ahead of Three-Day Strike

The government has directed public sector banks to remain open on Sunday, September 27, with RBI approval, to reduce disruption from a three-day nationwide bank strike starting September 28. The United Forum of Bank Unions is striking for a five-day work week and withdrawal of the Performance Linked Incentive scheme, which the government has kept in abeyance.
