Yemen's government-aligned forces say they repelled Houthi attacks in Taiz, killing and wounding dozens of fighters. The Houthis, who seized Sanaa in 2014, are battling for strategic highlands overlooking the Bab al-Mandeb strait. The WHO says 674 people have been killed and nearly 3,000 injured since August 6, with over 158,000 displaced.
