Young men flee Tigray fearing forced recruitment

Young men are leaving Ethiopia's Tigray region, fearing forced recruitment as tensions rise nearly four years after the Pretoria Agreement ended the war. Human Rights Watch reported in July that Tigrayan authorities forcibly recruited civilians, including children as young as 15, since at least April. Key issues from the peace deal, including contested territory and disarmament, remain unresolved.
