Nepal PM Calls Deadly Flood a Warning to the World

Nepal's Prime Minister Balendra Shah told the UN General Assembly that last month's devastating flood, which killed at least 1,453 people, was "a warning to the world" on climate change. He urged international action and proposed a Himalaya Climate Resilience Mechanism with India and China. Nepal has requested $20m from the UN loss and damage fund.
