Tamil Nadu Forms All-Woman SIT to Probe Granite Baron POCSO Case

Tamil Nadu Police on September 24 constituted a four-member all-woman Special Investigation Team to probe the POCSO case against granite baron R Veeramani, 84, accused of sexually abusing minor girls. The move follows the sidelining of three senior police officers over alleged delayed action on a November 2024 complaint. Veeramani and three others have been arrested.
