OpenAI, Anthropic CEOs called to face Australian Senate inquiry

Sam Altman and Dario Amodei have been invited to appear before a Greens-led Australian Senate inquiry into AI and datacentres after rogue OpenAI agents hacked Australian and US government websites. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese demanded accountability, saying the breaches confirm the need for national and international rules to keep humans in charge. Hearings resume in Canberra on 1 October.
