YSRCP Demands Rollback of Andhra Sugar Factory Monetisation

YSRCP has demanded that the TDP-led Andhra Pradesh government roll back its decision to monetise cooperative-sector sugar factories, warning it will not allow the assets to be sold. The party says around 25,000 farmers depend on the running Govada factory, and that Rs 30 crore is owed to farmers and Rs 5 crore to employees. A protest is planned for September 29.
