Iran War Drives Up AC, TV Prices Ahead of Festive Season

Consumer durable makers in India are raising prices as higher component and freight costs, compounded by shipping delays, squeeze margins. Blue Star has increased AC prices by 8%, while Thomson India plans a 10% hike after October. Haier and Daikin have also raised prices or are preparing to announce increases. Intex is holding off on a broad increase to support festive sales.
