Punjab DGP visits LPU after rape protest turns violent

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav visited Lovely Professional University on Monday after protests over an alleged rape turned violent, saying police used maximum restraint but vandals will face strict action. An FIR has been registered and an SIT formed to probe the rape allegation, while police facilitated dialogue between students and university authorities.
