Japan's anime industry bets big on India beyond Doraemon

Japan's content industry is shifting from exporting finished animation to monetising intellectual property across films, licensing, merchandise and localisation in India. TV Asahi is taking Doraemon to cinemas, while India ranks as the world's third-largest anime market with 41% viewership penetration. Demon Slayer became India's highest-grossing anime film with ₹75 crore.
