Sen. Schmitt Confuses Hawkeyes with Hawks in Smith Hearing

Sen. Eric Schmitt mistakenly accused former Trump prosecutor Jack Smith of attending an Atlanta Hawks game on Feb. 3, 2024, while probing Smith's testimony. Smith said he attended a University of Iowa women's basketball game at Maryland that day. Sen. Amy Klobuchar noted the Iowa team is the Hawkeyes, not the Hawks.
