Israel Expands Control Over Palestinian School Curricula

Israel has extended its control over Palestinian education, with 45,000 children in occupied East Jerusalem now studying an Israeli-authored curriculum, more than a third of Palestinian students there. Israel claims Palestinian textbooks teach hate, but academic research funded by the US State Department found no such promotion. Critics say the changes erase Palestinian history, national symbols and references to the occupation.
