Ethan Hawke says the 2001 low-budget drama Tape, directed by Richard Linklater, changed his life and marked his entry into adult acting. The film, shot in six days in one motel room, also prepared him for Training Day, which earned his first Oscar nomination. Hawke's new film The Weight opens in the UK this week.
