The RBI has approved Anup Bagchi as HDFC Bank's next MD & CEO, succeeding Sashidhar Jagdishan on October 26, 2026. Bagchi, currently MD & CEO of ICICI Life, brings three decades of ICICI Group experience across retail, treasury, investment banking, and insurance. He will join HDFC Bank's board on October 2 and take charge on October 27 for a three-year term.
