Omani Co-Pilot in Flydubai Attack Was Radicalized

Investigators have identified Hamam Alhamami, an Omani co-pilot, as the suspect in the September 30 mid-air attack on Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv. He allegedly attempted to crash the plane and attacked Captain Smit Machchhar. Reports indicate he was radicalized in Syria and previously barred from flying in Oman over extremist views. He now faces a terrorism investigation in the UAE.
