US stocks closed higher Friday after weaker-than-expected jobs data dampened expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike this month. Nonfarm payrolls rose just 29,000, well below the 90,000 estimate, with prior months revised lower. The Dow gained 0.49%, the S&P 500 0.73% and the Nasdaq 1.19%, though the Dow and S&P 500 posted weekly losses.
