Latvians vote as security and cost-of-living fears dominate

Polls opened Saturday in Latvia's parliamentary election, the first electoral test for Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs since he took office in May. About 1.5 million voters are eligible, with 14 lists contesting and seven expected to enter parliament. Kulbergs's pro-Europe, pro-Ukraine course is expected to hold, but coalition talks may prove complex.
