PMEGP aided 8.12 lakh micro entrepreneurs since FY15

The Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme has supported nearly 8.12 lakh micro entrepreneurs with Rs 24,398.61 crore in margin money subsidy since FY2014-15, creating employment for 73.08 lakh people, the government said. Implemented by KVIC under the MSME Ministry, the scheme offers subsidy on bank loans to first-generation entrepreneurs in rural and semi-urban areas.
