Geojit Founder Credits V P Singh for Early Liberalisation

C J George, who just became executive chairman of Geojit Financial Services, says India's economic liberalisation began under V P Singh as finance minister in the mid-1980s, not with the 1991 reforms. He recalls starting Geojit in 1986 with a Rs 2,000 loan and building it into a major brokerage.
