Iran Says Strait of Hormuz to Stay Shut Until US Meets Conditions

Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US accepts seven conditions based on the Islamabad Memorandum. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the strait could reopen within seven days if Washington accepts Tehran's proposal. The US has sent proposals through a mediator, but Iran insists it will not yield to unilateral demands.
