Nortje targets Test return after three-year absence

Anrich Nortje is eyeing a Test comeback after nearly three-and-a-half years away, having rebuilt his red-ball workload following serious back injuries. The 32-year-old last played a Test in March 2023 and has focused on T20 cricket since. His return could bolster South Africa's depleted pace attack for the three-match series against Australia starting October 9.
