India protests demand election chief resign over voter rolls

Thousands of protesters rallied in Mumbai and New Delhi for a third day, demanding the resignation of Election Commission chief Gyanesh Kumar over voter-roll revisions they say removed millions of eligible voters. Opposition leaders Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray led the Mumbai march. The ECI and ruling BJP deny the allegations, saying the revision targets duplicate or ineligible entries. More protests are planned.
