Tens of thousands of students, staff and parents marched across France on Tuesday against long hours, missing teachers and crumbling classrooms. The interior ministry said 86,000 took part in cities including Marseille, Nantes and Lyon, with up to 40,000 expected in Paris. The national lycée students' union reported 1,800 of 3,700 high schools blockaded or closed. Protests have been marred by violent clashes, leaving hundreds injured and thousands arrested.
