The Supreme Court on Tuesday questioned why the National Highways Authority of India cannot deploy electronic surveillance to immediately track vehicles parked or stationary on highways. The bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Augustine George Masih and Sandeep Mehta heard a suo motu road safety case stemming from a November 2025 Rajasthan accident that killed 15. The matter was posted for October 13.
