Chrysler Building Sold; Tishman Speyer to Restore Crown

The Chrysler Building will undergo a major renovation after developer Tishman Speyer took over its lease from Cooper Union. The $235m project will restore the Art Deco crown and 77-storey façade, and upgrade interiors for office space. Cooper Union will use ground lease payments to fund full-tuition scholarships.
