Delhi liquor shops to shut October 9-10 amid protests

Liquor shops across Delhi will remain closed on October 9 and 10, the Excise Department said, citing Delhi Police inputs and the prevailing situation as a precaution to maintain public order. The closure coincides with ongoing protests by opposition parties and other groups demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over allegations tied to the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
