Bordeaux Relegated to Sixth Tier Over Financial Irregularities

Six-time French champions Bordeaux will play in the sixth tier this season after the Nouvelle-Aquitaine league approved their entry into Regional 1. Sanctioned for failing to provide about 10 million euros for 2025-27, the club was sold last month for one euro to US-based Park Bench. New president Dominique Delport said rebuilding can now begin.
