Mobile internet services will be suspended for 24 hours from 10 pm Friday to 10 pm Saturday within a 4-km radius of Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, ahead of a proposed Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the functioning of the Election Commission of India. The Union Home Ministry approved the shutdown, while Delhi Police divided the New Delhi district into 20 zones and denied permission for the demonstration.
