UAE prosecutors say a Flydubai co-pilot planned to crash a Dubai-Tel Aviv flight into Ben Gurion Airport's terminal in a suicide attack inspired by 9/11. The Omani suspect, 29, attacked the captain with an axe on September 30 before being overpowered. The plane made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. He had taken two earlier flights to scout the route.
