Putin Tells Trump Peace Talks Unlikely After Moscow Drone Attacks

Russian President Vladimir Putin told US President Donald Trump that resuming Ukraine peace talks is unlikely, citing drone attacks on Moscow during last month's parliamentary elections. The Kremlin said the strikes interrupted plans for trilateral negotiations with Russia, Ukraine and the US. Trump separately announced a deal for Russia to supply over 300,000 tonnes of diesel, drawing criticism from Ukraine and European allies.
