Delhi protest against election commissioner leads to 500 detentions

Around 500 people were detained in New Delhi on Saturday during a protest by the proposed Cockroach Janata Party against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police had denied permission and enforced prohibitory orders around Jantar Mantar. Protesters used creative tactics, including cockroach-antennae helmets and hiding in a gurdwara, as buses carried detainees away.
