A group of 124 former IAS, IFS, IPS and allied services officers has issued an open letter defending the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls. They said the system cannot be honest when a party wins and rigged when it loses, noting the ruling BJP lost several state polls and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections under the same commission.
