Jackie Chan and his fans raised more than $192,000 over six years to build schools in poor, remote parts of China. Through the "Build a School for a Dollar" campaign, fans donated over $96,000 and Chan matched every gift dollar for dollar. The funds helped construct several schools, with the Chinese government covering remaining costs.
