Mercedes-Benz India Bets on Plug-In Hybrids for Luxury Buyers

Mercedes-Benz India is expanding its plug-in hybrid lineup, debuting the technology in the Maybach S-Class and launching the E53 AMG plug-in hybrid. CEO Santosh Iyer said buyers will pay a 5-6% premium for electric range and combustion flexibility. Deliveries of the S-Class plug-in hybrids begin by end-October.
