Dame Judi Dench has said age-related macular degeneration has left her unable to perform on stage or in films, or to read. The Oscar-winning actress, diagnosed in 2012, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme she can no longer do a play or a film. She remains publicly active and said radio has always been important to her.
