Henry Nowak's killer has minimum term raised to 25 years

The Court of Appeal has increased Vickrum Digwa's minimum prison term for murdering 18-year-old student Henry Nowak in Southampton to 25 years, ruling the original 21-year term unduly lenient. Digwa stabbed Nowak with a large kirpan in December 2025. Judges rejected his challenge that the sentence was excessive. He must serve at least 24 years and 190 days before parole consideration.
