Harmeet Dhillon resigned as Assistant Attorney General leading the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division after about 18 months, Attorney General Todd Blanche announced Thursday. Her tenure saw more than 75% of division staff depart and priorities shift toward gun rights, DEI restrictions and opposing transgender civil rights protections. Dhillon said she had planned to leave before the Republican midterm setback.
