Kenyan cult leader Paul Mackenzie sentenced to 200 years for 191 murders

A Kenyan court sentenced doomsday cult leader Paul Mackenzie to 200 years in prison for murdering 191 people, all but one of them children, in the Shakahola Forest starvation case. Justice Diana Kavedza imposed 100 years for homicide and 100 for starvation offences, to run consecutively. Twenty-eight accomplices were also sentenced. Prosecutors had sought the death penalty.
