170-year-old moth helps scientists identify 11 new species

A damaged moth collected by Alfred Russel Wallace in Borneo around 1855-1856 has helped Natural History Museum scientists identify 11 species new to science. DNA from the specimen, long dismissed as unworthy of study, linked it to the genus Topiris, which researchers revived. The study in ZooKeys expands Topiris to 14 species, one named after Greta Thunberg.
