Kolkata Police warns against sharing Aadhaar at hotels

Sharing a copy of your Aadhaar card at hotel check-ins makes you vulnerable to cyber fraud, warned Suvankar Chakraborty, officer-in-charge of the cyber cell of Kolkata Police's south division. Speaking at a Travel Agents Federation of India event, he advised using masked Aadhaar or alternative ID, and urged caution with social media photos and online hotel bookings amid rising fraud cases.
