EU accuses TikTok of failing to protect children

The European Union on Friday accused TikTok of failing to adequately protect children from online risks, including cyberbullying and predatory behavior. The EU warned that the platform could face a heavy fine if findings under the Digital Services Act are confirmed. EU tech chief Henna Virkkunen said child safety protections should be default, not optional.
