Ravneet Singh Bittu resigns as Union minister, President accepts

Ravneet Singh Bittu resigned as Union Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries, with President Droupadi Murmu accepting his resignation after his Rajya Sabha term ended on June 21. The BJP, which did not renominate him, is expected to field Bittu in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. Bittu, a former Congress MP, joined the BJP in 2024.
