Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal announced that a minimum of 50% representation from SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities will be ensured in the selection of District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents. The party has already appointed 762 DCC chiefs out of 1,054 districts. The selection process, part of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, will involve submitting six names per district and final decisions with Rahul Gandhi. States including Karnataka, Kerala, Assam, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh along with several Union Territories are yet to complete the process.
