Suicide bombing kills 15 in northwest Pakistan

A suicide bombing at a security checkpoint in northwest Pakistan killed 15 people, including 12 soldiers, the military said. The attack, carried out by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants, occurred overnight in Tank district near the Afghan border. Security forces killed 12 attackers in a counter-operation. The TTP claimed responsibility, stating four suicide bombers were involved. Militancy has surged in the region.
