Cyclospora outbreak expands to nine US states

A cyclospora outbreak linked to iceberg lettuce from central Mexico has spread to nine states, with over 11,000 cases reported across 41 states since mid-May. Michigan is hardest hit with more than 8,100 infections. The CDC warned against eating recalled lettuce from Taylor Farms, which voluntarily recalled its product. The FDA initially reported a positive test but later retracted. The investigation continues as symptoms may appear weeks after exposure.
