Pralhad Joshi takes charge as education minister after Pradhan resigns

Pralhad Joshi has been given additional charge of India's education ministry after President Droupadi Murmu accepted Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation amid nationwide protests over the NEET-UG paper leak. Joshi, a senior BJP leader and Union Minister for Consumer Affairs and New and Renewable Energy, will hold the portfolio alongside his existing duties. The resignation followed over 35 days of student-led agitation at Jantar Mantar.
